Mission Statement of the Umanah Healthcare Institute
Umanah Healthcare Institute is an independent, post-secondary/vocational institute. Our goals are to provide quality education to qualified individuals regardless of race, creed, color, religion, sex, age, mental status, sexual orientation, disability, or natural origin; such will result in developing the knowledge, attitude, and competencies to function with integrity and compassionate practices in our healthcare system.
Goals of our Institute
- To recruit and train students from diverse backgrounds with a focus on education, character, and compassion.
- To prepare individuals to function competently and lay a solid foundation in their chosen healthcare field.
- To recruit qualified educators and professional staff to provide quality education to students.
- To serve the community through health science education.
Meet the Instructors at Umanah Healthcare Institute
Courtney Adamson, RN BSN, MSN, has more than 16 years of experience in nursing as a Nurse Instructor, Med/Surg, and Quality Management.
Patricia Umanah, RN, BSN, MBA, HCM, LNC, CCDS, has more than 15 years of experience in Orthopedic, Med/Surg, Critical Care, Geriatrics, and Clinical Documentation. Won Nurse Excellence Award 2011.
Nataya Wilson, RN, BSN, has 10 years of experience, worked at Fresenius Medical Center in Gastonia, and joined Umanah Healthcare Institute in 2023
Bassey Udosen, Master in Public Health, is one of the Instructors.
Alicia Alexander, BSN, RN, CMSRN, with 10 years of experience. An excellent teacher. She join Umanah Healthcare Institute in 2024.
